François-Marie Arouet known by his nom de plume Voltaire was a French Enlightenment writer, historian, and philosopher famous for his wit, his attacks on the established Catholic Church, and his advocacy of freedom of religion, freedom of expression, and separation of church and state. Voltaire was a versatile writer, producing works in almost every literary form, including plays, poems, novels, essays, and historical and scientific works. He wrote more than 20,000 letters and more than 2,000 books and pamphlets. He was an outspoken advocate of several liberties, despite the risk this placed him in under the strict censorship laws of the time. As a satirical polemicist, he frequently made use of his works to criticize intolerance, religious dogma, and the French institutions of his day. 21 November 1694 Paris, France

November TWENTY-FIRST - The Day of  ELEGANCE: Those born on November 21 have a feeling for natural grace and elegance, whether it be expressed in their bearing and body language or through the production or appreciation of highly polished ideas and products. Those born on this day are extremely interested in what is most up-to-date in the society around them, and  have little time for old-fashioned thinking. Yet, they are quick to sense the value in forgotten techniques and ideas which can be revived and given a distinctly modern twist. Thus November 21 people often find themselves on the cutting edge of a deeply established tradition. Indeed, they may experience great conflicts with the preceding generation (most often their parents) who cannot see the sense in what they are doing. If it takes a lifetime, November 21 people have to prove to their detractors, and indeed the world, that their personal vision was correct.

Karma for the Queen of Hearts - Emotional Discontent

QUEEN of Hearts: The MOTHER LOVE Card: As the "double Neptune" card, the Queen of Hearts has its share of idealism. All of these people possess a certain charm and magnetism that attracts others. They are the "mothers of love" and share this love with all they come in contact with. They either get married and devote themselves to family or get involved in some professional career. These people are very sweet, attractive, sociable and loving. They can be  successful artists and all have an appreciation for art and beauty. Many are aware of and make use of their abundance of psychic ability. As long as their idealism is guided by truth, they can live the life of love and nurturing that is their birthright. When operating on the lower levels, they can be too self-indulgent, lazy, frivolous, and into the "good life". There are many escapists and alcoholics among the Queen of Hearts as well. Once they set their sights, however, there is no limit to how high they can climb in their work and career.

queen of heartsQUEEN of Hearts: This is the Card of beauty, magnetism, affection and idealism. The women Queen of Hearts represent the much-loved mother, the sweetheart, the indispensable sister, the adored daughter. The men are sensitive, creative, sympathetic and understanding. If we did not have that inevitable negative side to deal with, this would be the most desirable card in the Little Book. The Queen of Hearts natives are talented in some artistic line, even if it's just in their appreciation of beauty or art. They are often intense and dramatic, and can be very domineering in the family. They are also capable of deep devotion and loyalty. SCORPIO-SAGITTARIUS CUSP - The Cusp of Revolution November 19 - 24: Not all revolutionaries are wide-eyed, bomb-throwing idealists; within the souls of many fighters for human rights lurk secret autocrats, who, once in power, may themselves be toppled by a further revolution. The revolt that engages those born on the Scorpio-Sagittarius cusp is often the fight against sloppiness, bad taste, ineffectualness, stupidity and old-fashioned, outworn attitudes. They are capable of exploding old myths, true, but they are equally capable of reviving and preserving myths that they view to be useful. Thus those born on this cusp can also be secret traditionalists at heart.
