January TWENTY-THIRD the Day of CHARACTER:

John Hancock was a merchant, smuggler, statesman, and prominent Patriot of the American Revolution. He is remembered for his large and stylish signature on the United States Declaration of Independence, drawn so that King George III would be able to read the Hancock name without his spectacles; so much so that the term "John Hancock" has become, in the United States, a synonym for a signature. January 23, 1737

January TWENTY-THIRD the Day of CHARACTER: Those born on January 23 have a remarkably distinctive character which sets them apart from everyone else. On the surface this can manifest as an identifiable style, often exemplified by one particular quality such as their voice, movements, speech patterns or facial mannerisms. Thus while many of us may in fact be rich in character, January 23 people live it, are it - for all to see. Indeed the habits they display can make a most memorable first impression.

An important theme in the lives of January 23 people is the basis of character itself: integrity, moral and ethical strength. Those born on this day may not give the matter much thought, or perhaps even have certain assumptions about their lack of character, but through crises and dire circumstances soon discover what they are made of. If they act in an honorable fashion they can live with themselves; if not they will suffer deeply until they can clear their conscience or improve their self image - such vindication may perhaps only be effected through subsequent courageous or self-sacrificing acts. But fortunately (or unfortunately as the case may be), sticking to or betraying what they believe in youth may have a seminal and permanent effect on their personality formation and self-image when they are more mature.

STRENGTHS: Personal, Individual, Technical

WEAKNESSES: Self-Involved, Asocial, Troubled

MEDITATION: Makeup generally looks best when unnoticed.

Karma for the 4 of Diamonds - Overcoming of Self

FOUR of Diamonds The Card of Solid Values:  The Four of Diamonds is a card of protection in finances, however that protection is only accessed through hard work. This card, above most others, must put forth the effort to reap the rewards, but the rewards are surely there. To achieve this, they often have to come to terms with their own inner restlessness (Five of Spades Karma Card) and dissatisfaction.  They never receive anything without paying some price for it. Often the work they must do involves their marriage or their closest relationships. These people are very sociable, meet many people, and usually have many friends. They have high ideals concerning love and often these ideals can cause confusion in real life romantic situations. There are difficulties to be dealt with in their life and they must watch a tendency to get into a rut and get stuck there. However, all they need to do to have more happiness is to work. Once they get into action, everything smooths out, and their fears are laid to rest.

four of diamondsFOUR of Diamonds: The importance of work is stressed for all 4's, and this is especially true of the 4 of Diamonds. There is inherent protection for this card, but only if they are making diligent and concentrated efforts in their lives. When this is lacking, poverty and failure - in varying degrees - are the sure results. A life of leisure is just not part of their life plan. This is by no means an easy card to deal with. They are known to rebel at the restrictions imposed by relationships, work and life circumstances. While they are basically materially oriented people, there is an underlying spiritual interest which should not be neglected! A good earning capacity belongs to this card but it is only through hard work that their dreams become a reality. http://www.metasymbology.com/

AQUARIUS I: The Week of GENIUS: January 23-30: Although AQUARIUS I's may not necessarily be more intelligent than others in the year, they generally learn quickly and exhibit an alert, even high-strung demeanor. Like thoroughbreds, they are hot-blooded types, usually champing at the bit to get on with it. Patience is not one of their virtues, and AQUARIUS I's show a marked itchiness with those slower sorts who need time to express themselves and make decisions.

Strengths: Precocious - Unique - Self-Taught

Weaknesses: Reckless - Distracted - Stressed-Out

AQUARIUS I NOTABLEOprah Gail Winfrey is an American media proprietor, talk show host, actress, producer, and philanthropist. January 29, 1954 (age 60), Kosciusko, MS.

AQUARIUS I NOTABLES: Mozart, FDR, Oprah, Paul Newman, Hadrian, W.C. Fields, Lewis Carroll.

ADVICE: Clarify a realistic picture of yourself in your mind's eye. A certain amount of undesirable personal interaction is always necessary: try to be more thick-skinned and, if necessary, downright insensitive. Cultivate calm, patience and persistence rather than always going your own way. Learn to handle frustration and be tough enough to quietly demand the very best for yourself.
